100% pure honey from our local hives here in Burnaby, BC.
Raw honey has many nutritional benefits besides tasting great. Local honey has bits of local flower pollen, which some believe can help with seasonal allergies. Unpasteurized raw honey also has antibacterial and antifungal properties. The many antioxidants and phytonutrients make raw honey a very special sugar substitute. Honey is also an amazing skincare ingredient due to its incredibly moisturizing properties.
Fireweed (Chamerion angustifolium) grows on the Pacific West Coast and Northern Canada. It is the first seed that sprouts after a forest fire; quickly takes hold of the soil preventing erosion and in a few years gives way to a new forest.
Fireweed is amazing at helping the forest re-establish itself and provides copious, delicious nectar that honeybees absolutely love. Unpasteurized fireweed honey is one of the world’s best honey. It has very high antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and is rich in antioxidants. In fact, it can be used even for wound care.
Fireweed honey has a smooth, fruity taste with a delightful buttery finish that makes it an award winning honey. Our honey was collected in the pristine Coastal Mountains of British Columbia, see attached pictures.
There is an additional $2 in shipping cost for the 1kg honey jar.
